This is the story of a family. What a heartbreaking and beautiful story it was. I don’t really know what to write about it other than that it made me feel a lot of sorrow for the characters. I listened to the audiobook so I will have to paraphrase but there was a part towards the end where Tarek’s life was described as being an amalgamation of bad luck and poor decisions and I think that was incredibly apt.
However sad, I am very glad to have read this book.
