I think it’s important to start by noting that I’m definitely not the target audience for this book. First and foremost, I pretty much strictly read non-fiction. Second, I’m assuming the target demographic for this book is millennial women, but I’m a straight millennial man. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and binged it in about a day. There was some great social commentary in this book about the self-care movement, #MeToo, women supporting one another while also tearing each other down, cancel culture, and so much more. With the book being this short, I was pretty impressed by how much Leigh Stein was able to cover within the pages. So, even as a non-fiction reader who loves to read about a lot of social issues, this book really drew me in. Throughout the book, I was waiting for some kind of twist or something crazy to happen, and then right at the end, it happened, and I loved it. This was an excellent book and I definitely see why it’s one of the best-selling books from Stein.
