i mean it was probably a mistake to read this with the Big Sad bc it just made me more sad but it was very well done and i would definitely have liked it a lot more if i was in the right mood for it. or maybe not, idk. kind of falls into the type of contemporary fiction that just makes me depressed when i read it. i think i am also a bit too dumb to understand the deeper meanings of a lot of the stories. i really liked the subway story in particular bc it felt the least real, which i guess goes to show how much i am Not a contemporary fiction fan
