Rebecca yarros has a talent for making me cry. I wasn't prepared for this one and I dont think I ever would have been. I dont regret reading this book though. It made me realize, as a milspouse and military brat, a fear I knew I had but ignored its existence. I understand December her adimance of never wantinting to marry or be with someonein the military especially after witnessingwhat it did to her mom is something I relate to because i thought that too. Gods forbid we ever go though the heart break depicted in this book but maybe just maybe in the smallest of ways its prepared me better than I would have with out. This book will hold a part of my soul. It has changed me and that in itself is what great books do
Graphic: Grief, Death of parent
Moderate: Infidelity, War
