the formatting and writing style of the book is part of what made it so great -- the book really would not hit the way it does if it wasn't interview-style. I really came to love and hate every character at the same time (mostly love, though). I really appreciated the way each character was kind of an unreliable-narrator; each plot line was just different enough from each character's POV that it felt very real. they all twist their stories just enough to make them not totally in the wrong... but they are still relatively self-aware which was refreshing.
I will say the pace of the book felt perfect until after the last big twist, at which point it felt really rushed for me.I wish I got more from Karen and graham specifically. for me, that was one of the best storylines. also... the biggest band in the world breaks up just like that and we don't get any inkling of how the world reacted??? boo!!!!! I want more!!!!!!
