Dancing with Daddy by Susan Hawke

3.0

This was pretty cute, but also a perfect example that books that have all the tropes that I like, still don't have to be my favorites.

I liked that this was a genuine slow burn and the romance didn't really come into play until pretty late in the story, even though there was attraction from the beginning. I have to say, though, I did find it pretty strange that Bradley would just invite his dead wife's ex boyfriend to LIVE with him and his daughter. This dude could have been a serial killer for all you know.

All the scenes with Maddie were pretty damn adorable. I'll have to be honest, though, I have a hard time even remembering anything that happened in this story. I listened to the audio book in one sitting and I'm already blanking on what happened after Shane started living with Bradley and Maddie. The story just kind of meandered around, to be honest.

Overall, not a bad book, but not really memorable, either.
