Child of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier

5.0

Not believing you are good enough or worthy enough is the hinge fainne hangs on, though she is determined and has a thirst for learning, to prove herself to her father. She has been sheltered with no one but her father and her one friend that being thrust into the company of others is terrifying and strange to her. Though she fears for those she loves and loves despite knowing she shouldn't, she struggles to become something other than what her grandmother tells her. As with everything juliet Marillier writes, it is beautiful and rich and filled to the brim with more emotional turmoil than one heart can handle.
