What a fun genre mashup; Murder Mystery in a unique fantasy world! I enjoyed this quite a bit.
The world building is unlike most other fantasy worlds! The threat of Leviathan attacks creates a tense worldly story engine, while the individual, botanically based, body modifications evoke a kind of cyberpunk-esque world, but clearly grounded in fantasy.
The character compliment each other well, I enjoyed both Don and Ana, the main protagonists.
Overall it was a succinct, well executed murder mystery in a unique setting, excited for the next one to build on it!
