The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle

2.0

I really like the concept of this book. It shows two sides of the debate on immigration, the immigrant desperately trying for a better life and the citizen whose greatest fortune was being born in the US. What I didn't like was how no one seemed to grow or change with the exception of one of the main characters, Delany, who went from a naive idealist to an racist prick.

The writing wasn't anything of notes but the concept of the book keeps me from saying that I didn't like it entirely.
