Second Glance by Jodi Picoult

This one started out slow for me. I initially had a hard time finding a connection between all the characters, and the supernatural elements were a little extreme at times (snowing rose petals, frozen ground in August, etc...hard to believe in an otherwise realistic novel). However, once I started to get more of Lia's story, I got hooked. In typical JP fashion, there are lots of twists and turns along the way, especially at the end. And she gives some interesting insight on the history of eugenics in the US, which I didn't know anything about. If you like the typical JP formula, this one fits right in.
