Die, Vol. 1: Fantasy Heartbreaker
by Kieron Gillen
This comic series is about a group of friends who play role playing games. One day, they disappeared during one of their sessions, only to be found 2 years later with one of their friends missing.
Many years later, one of the group members received a cryptic message that could mean their missing friend is alive.
The original team get together and are transported to a fantasy realm to find their friend. We learn a lot more about what happened while they were in the fantasy land all those years ago.
From here on, the comic gets dark. They follow the maxim of the end justified the means and do everything it takes to come home, but things do not go as expected.
I'm still undecided about this series but it's an interesting concept. I just found it a bit dark.
