The Pretty Committee is back! Honestly this felt like a throw back to the original Clique because it was so fresh, original, and full of awkward adolescent drama.
The Pretty Committee is heading on a field trip into the great outdoors and... it's co-ed! All the girls have to face their boy problems head on in the worst of circumstances: camping without all their glamours clothes and makeup. Massie is trying to stage her first kiss, Claire is trying to convince Cam to forgive her for kissing Josh, and Alicia is trying to solve the mystery of who kissed Josh! The end result is explosive drama and a shocking ending.
This might be my favorite book in the series. There's just constant action and relationship drama, lots of unexpected twists, and the ending is a huge cliff hanger. All the awkward romantic tension feels so relateable and it was especially fun to watch Massie's anxiety about "lip-kissing" culminate in some seriously awkward moments with Derrington.
