I loved this series so much!!!
Especially in the second book the characters felt so fleshed out, not just Thaniel as the main character but also his little family with Six and Mori and Pepper (yeah I'm counting her too, I'm convinced that they could've been best friends) and all the other characters whose names I've already forgotten. It seemed like Natasha Pulley had all their futures fully planned, not just the most likely possibility and did not need to see the ghosts to know where the story was supposed to go.
Time is a confusing thing but I think I finally understood how Mori's gift works, or at least more than in the first book of the series, where I was just guessing what was going on for most of the story.

Also, Thaniel. love of my life. whatever our souls are made of, him and mine are the same:

“He was starting to find he could live without all sorts of things - Mori, a piano, working lungs - as long as there was a decent supply of coffee.”
