After Hours on Milagro Street
by Angelina M. Lopez
A favorite of 2022!
This book is perfection.
You get:
* a swoony romance story that made me blush and hold the book to my heart for moments at a time.
*a fierce as fuck female lead. Angelina writes unrelenting female leads that just get the rage we all feel at times. They don't care to be liked, yet watching them fall in love is the greatest thing ever
*a cute as fuck college professor/historian
-they are rivals yet EXTREMELY attracted to each other makes for such good chemistry and tension
*a vivid story filled with factual events and information about one (of many) Mexican American experience in Kansas. It was so eye opening and delightful to learn from.
blushing moments from the fiery heat of the steamy scenes
I also ended up crying in this book, the heartfelt family moments, the endearing and adorable romantic gestures filled my heart!
The shocking revelations gave me hardcore goosebumps all over my body.
A perfect romance book that everyone needs to read!
