Russian Roulette: The Story of an Assassin
by Anthony Horowitz
First thing's first. Alex? You were terribly missed. But well your creator Anthony Horowitz sure as hell turned us readers into serial killers!! I really thank the author for such an insightful book. It was dark and beautiful. But as compared to other books in the series, I would rate it 4 stars simply because Alex wasn't there. Rest all was perfect.
Russian Roulette traces back the story of the assassin Yassen and once again portrays how criminals don't choose their occupation. Their circumstances make them. I loved the part where Yassen and Alex's dad John Rider aka Hunter, spend time with each other. Their relationship was so symbolic.
One other part that really impressed was when Scorpia employs Yassen and he trains at Malagosto. Damn that school mann!!!! Anthony Horowitz is just filled with exciting surprises! The book has the same ending as the first book in the series Stormbreaker, but of course our perceptions change this time. It was fabulous, totally! I'm honestly tired of telling people to go read the series. DM if you've read it.😂
