It took me legit a whole month to fight through this book. This was a buddy read and an intro to this world of reading. I was appreciative of the fact that it was a simple read and understandable. Absolutely hated the story plot though. It gives 2 POV's, one in the present (Tate the doormat) and one in the past (Miles the closed off one from a messed up past of mishaps). It was just odd and irritated me to where I would put the book down and go on about my day. Even the spice was not spicing for me *eye roll*. Young and dumb all I got from it. Only thing that helped me through was my buddy kept begging me to fight through it cause she LOVED it! Mehhhh... The end it oddly picks up and turns around which peaked my interest and kept me reading, but also hmm too little toooo late Miles. 2.5 ** Stars this way.
