Damn, was this a steamy good read!
This was my first read from this series and it did really well as a stand-alone romance. I didn't feel lost or confused by the characters from previous books in the series.
I love a smart and driven heroine and Laney definitely fit the bill. She is wonderfully real and I loved her work ethic as well as passion for medicine.
Cole was a fantastic hero, if just a little too perfect. He's just 100% dreamy for every singe minute of this book and while that's very swoony, I prefer characters with some flaws. Cole delivers zero flaws and it's the only reason this book didn't earn five stars from me.
The only conflict in this book seems to be busy work schedules and Laney's reluctance to love again after loss. I wish there was a bit more for these characters to overcome.
The travel and food descriptions were amazing and the steamy scenes in this book were panty-melting hot! If you love travel, food, steam, and a very nice-guy hero then you will ADORE this book.
