This book further explores Charlie Bone and his magical abilities along with his friends and classmates. When a long lost relative is magic-ed into Charlie's life, he takes it upon himself to help rescue his relative and put to write an almost century old mystery of loss.

There is more betrayals, more treachery, villainous aunts and grandmothers, snotty rivals and centenarians, magic, time travel, and talking dogs.

This adventure is more exciting than the last, and it further explores bigger plot holes that have yet to be ventured into deeper.
