Shipped by Meredith Tate

4.0

I loved Meredith Tate’s book Red Labyrinth, and I know Shipped is completely different from that book, but I knew I wanted to read more books by her and I’m glad I got the opportunity to read this book! Thank you to NetGalley, Meredith Tate, and the publishers for a free e-arc of Shipped in exchange for an honest review.

Shipped is exactly like You’ve Got Mail with a Comic-Con twist to it. I loved the rivalry between Stella and Wes. They were hilarious with the pranks they would pull on each other, not realizing they’re actually conversing on an online forum on a regular basis and becoming fast friends on there because of their love for the same canceled sci-fi show. What I especially loved was how their relationship developed outside of the online forum. I mean these two are honest to goodness enemies, or major rivals in school, and to see how it sloooowly changed was wonderful to read. And to read how obsessed they are with the same show, and how they’re each trying to figure out who the other person is on the online forum was great! The hopes they had of who each may be and to find out who it really is was quite fun to read. Normally I’m not a fan of overachievers. They tend to annoy me, but I love how tough Stella is and how she wouldn’t let this boy scare her off. Whatever prank he executed, she’d give right back. And Wes is just a good guy despite his life at home, I mean I don’t know how he could stand being around his parents, I wanted to smack them that’s for sure
