The Lies You Wrote
by Brianna Labuskes
Twisty psycho linguistic fun
If I’m going to read a psychological thriller, I want thrills. I want twists. I want unreliable narrators and people who aren’t who they seem to be. This book has it all in spades. The twists and turns were so plentiful that it kept me guessing and I didn’t see one of the biggest ones coming (although I kept thinking I should have!). And the subject of forensic linguistics turns out to be pretty fascinating. It made a unique foundation to the story and the characters of both Raisa and Delaney. This makes The Lies You Wrote a really good novel and not just a genre entry.
