left much to be desired

This book just didn’t meet my expectations. The idea of an age gap romance with an older woman was intriguing to me but this story just didn’t play out in the way I thought it would. It just wasn’t satisfying for me. The story felt kind of aimless with no real plot. By the middle of the boom they were already saying I love yous and moving in together. It left me wondering where do we go from here. This boom just didn’t explore the relevant points that would arise in a relationship. Tate is a waiter and while there’s nothing wrong with that, that is not a sustainable career if want to support a bi go family. This book just didn’t explore any real challenges in there relationship. Also Tate just didn’t feel like an authentic character. His characterization didn’t seem realistic to me. Also, the whole languages thing was kind of dumb to me. Like the defining part of his personality is that he spoke three language and that’s suppose to make him attractive and intriguing. Idk he lacked charisma for me. Also, there’s a whole Elvis motif throughout the book that did absolutely nothing for me. These are my main issues with book. It didn’t explore any concrete issues in there relationship and the story itself felt fleeting and the characters not like real people.
