After the jumbled collection that is Volume 6, the Brief Lives story arc is a welcome return to form. It's essentially a road trip between Delirium and Dream and what happens when they try to find their brother Destruction, who left many years ago. There's a lot going on in this story and while it still moves at a slower pace than I'd like, the emotional journey that Delirium and Dream experience is definitely some of the coolest stuff since the original arc of Sandman.
