I enjoyed this book a very interesting plot and the author is very good at describing the place and making you feel it.
My only sticking point is the kiss stealing, handshaking, child teaching Saint Bruno, he is just too good and clean. I like my protagonists to be a little grey, Bruno is just too good, sickly so. I don't know whether it is just for this book but he is too perfect to be plausible.
A good first entry and I do own most of the series so I will likely continue it, I only hope there's more depth and darkness to Bruno.
