Another heart felt winner of a story by Katy Regnery. It's an enemy to friends to lovers story that will touch your heart. This is JC or Jean-Christian's story. He is the eldest of the Rousseau clan. Being the eldest he played the roll of protector shielding his siblings from the truth of their parents' unhappy marriage caused by their father's infidelity. These secrets led him down the road of believing he is unable to be in a relationship filled with commitment and love. This all changed once he met his sister-in-law's best friend, Libitz. While JC is the perfect combination of hot and sweet wrapped in a tall, dark and handsome package, Libitz is a petite woman with a fierce heart and mind. She is every bit of a match for him.
They are brought together through a series of events. The most important being a painting called the Bijoux Jolis. This painting led them on a treasure hunt revealing the truth about their families history and true feelings for each other. The support and love they showed one another during this process made me fall in love with their story. Through Libitz love and support it JC is taken from a work in progress, to a man that discovers he is capable of love. Through his love and support she learns who she truly is, a strong woman capable of letting down her guard and without getting hurt.
