The book started off ok but, as the story progressed, I became increasingly confused. Here’s why:
1. The people/groups involved: who was who, who was associated with who and how/why?
2. The introduction of new characters seemingly out of nowhere - who are they, how are they relevant, how were they found so quickly.
3. How the characters (already known & those newly introduced) play a part in the story (in other words: what is their significance to the story up to now and its continuance)
4. What exactly were they looking for? Map pieces/old picture/ religious scripture??
5. How exactly did the main character learn about new aspects/people so quickly and then be able to connect the dots/meet up with new people ? To me, it seemed that we were jumping from one interaction to another. Whatever the characters learned, I didn’t/couldn’t follow
6. There were times during the book (albeit briefly) where I felt that were from 1-2 other perspectives? Why? What was the purpose?
