See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
It took half of the book to get a physical descriptor of Miles other than "Asian, Tall, Skinny", and it was "tan skin".

Mike's mom is only described as being Asian and having short hair. His roommate is only described as being South Asian.

We literally have no physical characteristics given to these characters besides the bare minimum and their race.

I feel like it's an attempt at diversity that falls really dramatically short for me. I liked Miles as a character, but it was WEIRD to have him described so vaguely, considering he's the love interest, and Barrett describes her own physical appearance to intense, self-depricating, and almost self-destructive levels.

I feel like, personally, that pulled me away from the story more than anything else.
