Generations by Carla Roncalli de Montorio, Flavia Biondi

5.0

This was so good. Heart warming and touching about family, facing our mistakes and growing up. Matteo returns home to the small Italian village he grew up in. He spent the last few years living openly gay in Milan, and upon returning home, feels as though his future was fading before his eyes. He left home because his father didn't accept him. While it's as much about a young gay man trying to reconnect with his family, it's largely a story about a young man coming to terms with this mistakes he made and the broken relationships he's had with loved ones. The story primarily focuses on Matteo but it's also a reflection on the interconnected relationships between generations within a family.
