Roll For Romance by Lenora Woods

4.0

Absolutely did NOT expect this book to turn out the way it did. What a unique idea to write it in alternating storylines between real life and their DND game, giving both sets of characters real events that happen in their own realms. Loved the idea that the book was about burnout and how REAL it is — so many people don’t recognize burnout as a realistic happening and something that SHOULD be discussed! As well as ways to avoid and help come back from burnout. The way Sadie’s character took her “break” and turned it into something amazing, supported by friends and family around her, was so realistic and helpful as someone who faces burnout often. Not a mega fan of fantasy (the DND part), but the IRL events were wonderfully developed. And Noah?? Oh Lordy, don’t get me started… he is DREAMY. Dorky and dreamy and lovely. Gah. Overall, loved the story and characters and plot development. Way to go, Lenora Woods! Thanks for the opportunity to read, Random House Publishing/Dell!
