The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
5.0
Love, love, love! Immediately downloaded second book!
I love it, I recommend it, what a *treat!*
The plot moves, the complexities are not *terribly* complex, but exactly unexpected and complex enough for a fabulous summer read!
I suggest this book for readers who are unjaded, not angsty, and not too old - 9 to 90, I would say. I'd read this again, I'd give this to my nieces and nephews.
Main character is a 14 year old boy, the few female characters are supporting, there's some (almost entirely believable) child abandonment. I'm giving it four stars, but wish I could give it 4.5.
