This story was so GREAT!
The concept behind this one was different and it almost reads like a mystery. There is so much adventure and action, it's hard to stop reading. And that's not even taking the artwork into account. The artwork in this book is beautiful, detailed, and imaginative.
I enjoyed DiTerlizzi's writing style and his characterizations. Eva Nine especially was a very rounded out character. I can understand why those who loved her did everything they could to help her.
The mysterious part of this is just trying to figure out why Eva Nine has never seen another human. The book brings up so many more questions that that and each one kinda throws your head for a spin.
There were a couple of answers at the end, but still plenty more questions I want answers to.
The worldbuilding! The creatures were so inventive. I loved the descriptions of the plants and animals and how they all coexisted.
Rovee is a great character, I really enjoyed him. Otto as well! Otto was great!
