Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

I'll admit, my notes kept getting worse and worse as I was reading this series because I was so into them, so my apologies as we move forward.

I had my nose stuck in these books and I could not pry it out. I read Darkfever for my December group read and I just couldn't stop there. I had to know what happened next. It takes an amazing book to get me to read a series back to back like that and not read anything else at the same time. This is one of those amazing series'.

The main problem that I PERSONALLY had, and it's not a huge deal, I could NOT for the LIFE of me figure out how to pronounce V'Lane. Does it flow? Does it not flow? I read it V-Lane the WHOLE TIME. I think the apostrophe threw me off because I imagine it was supposed to be Vlane like Blane. Or maybe the L was silent and it was Vane like Bane. I have no idea. And, unless I'm wrong or just didn't see it, there wasn't a pronunciation guide ANYWHERE. Not even on her website and there are names in this series that make you tilt your head like a dog.

I talk myself through things and if you read my notes you would see that I basically have a conversation with myself. Maybe that makes me crazy. One thing I pointed out to myself was that Fiona left way toooo easily. I'm not going to spoil anything and say why she left, but I definitely felt like she would be back later on and that we hadn't seen the last of her.

I rooted so hard for Barrons and Mac. So hard. It hurts my heart how bad I rooted for them guys. Barrons gives me all of the Rhys (ACOTAR) vibes and I couldn't get enough of him. If he went too long without being in the storyline I wanted to cry. I was way too emotionally attached to these characters.

I believe I said this in the last post, but if you're looking for romantic, erotic, take you away what not, this isn't the book for you. It's drama and adventure and supernatural. It isn't what I was expecting going in, but I love it none the less.
