let me explain. thrillers are pure entertainment for me. i don't learn anything from it, i don't feel understood, it doesn't awaken any emotions in me. so they actually lack exactly what makes a good book for me. but this book is extremely cleverly written, all the plot lines find their place, the idea of watching a murder and then go back in time to stop it is brilliant. it's exciting even if certain plots were predictable. big plus, the scenes are written in such detail that it feels like you're watching a movie. BUT it was never so tense that i couldn‘t put it down. that‘s such a pity for a crime novel tbh.
