When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris

3.0

There are some great pieces in here and some filler. I sort of wish he'd go deeper with some of them, tell us the end of the story, instead of trailing off. The piece on quitting smoking was in depth and satisfying because of it. I felt like I got a real window in what that experience was like for him. The book is also filled with references to people's casual homophobia, which feels really important to see in action in the world. It ain't over yet!
