Legendary Ireland: Myths And Legends Of Ireland by Eithne Massey

emotional informative slow-paced

4.25

I really enjoyed this exploration of some of Ireland’s most mythical spots and their associated stories. Massey has a certain knack for bringing the reader right to the spot geographically, and then turning the world on its head by diving into the historical tales at the center of Ireland’s draw for so many. These are stories I heard during my time abroad and have returned to again and again, and how wonderful that this easily digestible compilation exists. Now to hop in a car and hit every single spot!

“Clochán na bhFomharaigh - an example of a natural wonder that seems so regular and ordered as to have be man-made.”
