Middle book syndrome on steroids. Took me a while to get over the fact that the characters and story lines I fell in love with book 1, are basically not part of book 2 at all. That was a choice.
Pacing was slow and I was struggling through the first 50%. Glad I stuck it out. As always, the characters grew on me and I am interested to see how the story lines come together. I have my guesses.
I really hope book 3 pulls off a win for me or this whole series is getting 2 stars. Haha.
