This will forever be my favorite retelling. Ever. I loved other retelling of fairytales but let me say this again: THIS WAS MY FAVORITE!!
Solomon and Scarlett; my beloved singers, performers, and lovers. You have my heart and my soul in your possessions 😭 I seriously don’t have the words to describe how incredible this story was. As a dark modern retelling, it had the same tragic feeling of love and obsession as the original, but OF COURSE with a happy ending. I will never forgive Rand (Raoul) for what he did to either Scar (Christine) or Sol (Erik/phantom), and I will never forgive Laurent either. Fuck them both. To Jillianna (Carlotta) babe, you’re good, we forgive you. Jaimie (the gayest bestie), we love you to death. Stay fruity ✌🏼
JESUS ok wow- anyway- I’m not joking when I say that I have no words! I may come back and edit this when I’m not absolutely hungover after this read, but I just loved it so so much. Spice; 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5 :)
And phantom of the opera is literally my favorite musical ever- I have proudly hit that high E (or C- I can’t remember) at the end of “The Phantom of the Opera” a couple times :D
