If you are a 20something who never knew much about Regan or Vietnam, I highly recommend this book. I learned more about modern US political history from this book than I ever did in school. The information is presented in a clear, politically neutral way, and Maddow has certainly done her research. I was able to refute (with evidence!) some claims my conservative relatives were making at a family dinner, so, bonus. Warning: when you get to the chapters that cover current US wars, your blood may boil at the crazy wastefulness of our tax dollars. Everyone, regardless of political party, can get mad about that.
