Revenge of the Spellmans
by Lisa Lutz
I love how Ms. Lutz has developed such distinct, quirky and likeable characters. After reading 3 in this series, it seems as though I know the Spellmans. Few authors are skilled at this and it's magical when it happens. This book may not provoke a spiritual upheaval or start a global movement but it is so enjoyable and well written and if you look hard, you'll see a family just sticking together because of or in spite of their differences. And doesn't that sum up life?
