The Dark Half by Stephen King
4.0

Creating George Stark was easy.
Getting rid of him - not so much...

Thad Beaumont, a happy writer with a beautiful wife and a pair of little twins. An aspiring author, that gained his biggest success not under his own name, but under his pseudonimem - George Stark. Unfortunately someone discovers his secret and blackmails the artist. Thad decides to reveal himself on his own terms, abandoning his pen name.

There is one problem, though. George Stark does not want to die. He won't be forgotten.

Suddenly, people that were involved in the reveal started to die and all the traces indicate that Thad was involved.

An amazing story, that immediately reminded me of "Dr. Jackyl and Mr. Hyde". A young man that doesn't realize what darkness lurks within him. An evil force that manifested in his life and turned it upside down.

Its not the most eccentric or crazy book Stephen King wrote, but I can't say it dissapointed me. His writing style and simple language made you feel as if you're gliding through it.

What's also interesting, is the story's connection to King himself. He also created under a pseudonimem that was later revealed. I really recommend to look it up, especially after reading it. There might be more similarities than you think...

I honestly had an amazing time. If you want a little breather from the darker horror in Stephen King's more popular novels, this is a really good book to reach for.
