How to Raise an Elephant by Alexander McCall Smith
4.0

I adore this series, and every year look forward to a new entry. My Mum and I own the whole series, and I often reread because they are just so lovely and comforting. This book, like all of the series, are morality tales, with life lessons and emphasis on kindness. I love the characters and their quirkiness, and also the slow moving life that is detailed in Botswana. These books are positive and beautiful, and this latest novel includes a super cute baby elephant and a funny rescue mission in the old white van! As always, I'm happy and content having read the latest of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, and can't wait for the next one.
