I loved the central story of this book.  Bástian and Lore are wonderfully written as trans teenagers grappling with intersectional identities as Latine and neurodivergent. While it got slightly frustrating when Bástian and Lore maintained their repetitive, destructive internal narratives, it was, unfortunately, also pretty realistic for 16-year olds. Overall, this book is vibrant and heartwarming. It's definitely better suited towards the YA audience it's meant for, but still a joy to read.
