Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham
slow-paced
5.0
I rarely say this about slow burns… but I couldn’t put Forget Me Not down. I stayed up way too late reading, fully knowing my alarm was going off early.
Stacy Willingham’s writing is so immersive and atmospheric, I felt like I was right there… wrapped in the heat of a Southern summer and knee-deep in secrets. The dual timeline was done so well, and the way the diary came to life? Brilliant! The tension built slowly but hit hard, and my heart was racing more than once.
I hardly ever give 5 stars to slow burns, but this one? It totally earned it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Minotaur Books / St. Martin’s Publishing Group for an early copy of this book, but as always, all thoughts are my own.
