As an avid historical romance fan, I have to say that I went into reading this with high expectations. I will also say, that I believe that this book delivered a lot of what I wanted. I loved the chemistry between Hugh and Minerva (However, every time I read her name I instantly though of Minerva McGonagall haha). The only disappointing thing about this book was the "hand of god" save at the end when everything was magically okay. I wish the plot fought a bit harder for the happy ending -- not saying that I didn't eat every word up (I am a massive fan of all things romance and especially the hallmark christmas movie!).
All in all, I really enjoyed the book and the author's writing. I am excited to reread this and fall back in love with the Merriwell sisters!
