The Rotation of Power by H.V. Rosemarie
4.0
A fascinating world and concept
DISCLAIMER: This review is going to be different from my usual ones because this series is not available for purchase anymore and I don't think it will ever be again ;)
As you can guess from the title, it's the concept of how the world works that fascinates me the most in this book. It's highly unique and very well exploited in my opinion. I was very intrigues about how everything worked and the author made it very easy to understand. The book was too slow for me, though. I felt like not much happened, even if the main plotline was quite interesting. It could have been more gripping for me if we didn't have so many subplots, but I know a lot of readers will disagree with me on that point, which is why it's a very personal opinion. The ending however was rather fast paced and I really enjoyed it. The characters are interesting and grow a lot throughout the book, which I really enjoyed. Sera is badass and an amazing main character overall. I liked the different points of views the author wrote and how they all worked together. I didn't quite vibe with the use of paraphrases such as "thewhite-haired girl" or "the black-haired man" in the book, but that's also a personal opinion.
"For the throne, it would be worth it, but they weren't competing for their lives just yet."
