While I enjoyed seeing more about the House of Slaughter and learning more about Aaron, there was something a bit lacking in this story for me. I feel like there should have been more suspense maybe or more time spent with why Aaron was seen as so lacking or why the black bandanas had been decimated to just two students. This is a much smaller story about Aaron falling in love and trying to find a place and home with the new kid, who is full of anger. The art is beautifully dark and the set design is properly creepy. I only wish it had more to it.
