Champion of Midnight

So, definitely a quick read.
A certain death feels...unfinished. Like something is coming and we readers aren't prepared for it. I could be dead wrong, but my little reader lover heart is hopeful!
It wasn't anything special. I wish there was a bit more emphasis in getting closer to the men in the house. I know this is an uber slow-burn RH, but come on, I still can't picture anyone but Cassie and Bane.
Speaking of Cassie. She's making some bad decisions, but maybe it'll be a boon to Orin. We'll see.
Serenity's power-up and "assimilation" with her demon was quick. Another symptom of special snowflake syndrome. Sigh. At least her attitude has marginally improved. The writing and editing has improved, too! No using the word "hugest" in this one, thank fuck.
This is a decent series. Hopefully, it gets more exciting. There are 2 spin-off series after this one, so if this one stays simmering, maybe they'll be full of surprises. Time will tell.
Happy reading, Goodreads fiends.
