Hot Blooded by Donna Grant

4.0

I stumbled across Donna Grant's Dark King series by accident. I can't believe how lucky I was. The story lines are thrilling without going overboard. The romance is great without going to the erotic. Erotica isn't needed in the stories, and, I for one, appreciate that it wasn't used as filler. Hot Blooded continues the tale, adding more history to the world of the Dragon Kings. The evil man, that is out to destroy them, is just as bold as ever. Years of planning shows just how angry he is with the kings. And yet we still don't know who he is or why he is going to such extremes. Hot Blooded is the story of Laith, pub owner and paralyzing gas dragon. He has watched the others gain mates, and wants nothing to do with it. When the property owner/gate keeper adjacent to them is murdered, his life changes. Iona, the estranged daughter and photographer, was already on her way to Scotland when she gets the news. She wants nothing to do with Scotland or her father's past. It is Laith's duty to change her mind, protect her, and protect the gateway.
