As much as I liked the ending of this book, I could NOT get into it. I found Elizabeth annoying and her story sympathetic but not compelling. I’ve been going back and forth about whether or not I feel this way due to internalized misogyny but I don’t think that’s the case. She just doesn’t act like a real person. Her nonchalance and misunderstanding of everyday concepts was grating.
Best part was the dog
