Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lush Money by Angelina M. Lopez

A marriage of convenience and three nights a month is all this self-made billionaire want from the impoverished prince. Roxanne Medina is at the height of her career, but something is missing, more precisely someone: her very own little princess. The offer she makes to a desperate prince is more than generous and they'll both walk away with everything they've ever wanted. Pincipe Mateo however, has no intention on signing that contract, even if millions hang in the balance. Desperate times calls for desperate measures and the desire between won't be extinguished this easy.

CW: Sex/marriage to conceive, toxic family relationships (both). Paparazzi

This book was surprising in many ways. It turned the regular royal romance trope on it's head by making the scale tip in the "commoner" corner. I loved how fierce and strong Roxane was, ruthless even. Usually those are quality we see most often in men, and condoned in woman, but in this one it wasn't: she was praised for it. However, her placating apologies to Mateo about her behavior were quickly shut down and I loved how he wasn't afraid to call her out on them.

The beginning of the book was a little rough around the edges, but it corresponded perfectly to the tension and the progression of their relationship. I love when authors used email/text exchange sparingly, and with this one it create an intimacy we needed after a very steamy but passion-less scene.

It was really interesting to read their intimacy growing. Because of the frequent sex, it would have been easy for the author to fall prey to them, and let go of the emotional intimacy we needed from the character, but she did an excellent job at creating an empowering and guarded heroine falling slowly in love with a very principled prince. Their emotion slowly shining through and the passion growing better with each panty-less scene.

The final scenes where they stood up for each other was epic, and one of my favourite element in books - a long awaited take down to protect their new partner.
