I really enjoyed reading The Housemaid. I was skeptical going into this book, because I’d seen some mixed reviews, but it caught my attention from the get-go. The pace is fast and thrilling, and it was hard to put down. In general, I did not like any of the characters, but I was still invested in the story. I was mostly shocked by the plot twist, because I had some theories that were correct, but the rest I was totally not expecting. I would give the book a higher rating, but the characters were not well rounded, and the ending felt a bit cheap and simple.
